Columnist shares political insight at Solano EDC's Annual Meeting

Making the state government more responsive to California's rapidly changing economy is the primary challenge facing Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That's according to Dan Walters, a veteran Sacramento-based journalist and political pundit, who addressed county business and political leaders Thursday at the Solano Economic Development Corp.'s annual meeting in Fairfield.

"He was installed (as governor) on his promise to shake up Sacramento and make it responsive.

Longtime political commentator Dan Walters will be the keynote speaker at the annual meeting of the Solano Economic Development Corp. on Thursday in Fairfield.


Walters, considered by some the dean of Capitol correspondents and pundits, writes a column for the Sacramento Bee.

He has been asked to address the state of state politics under Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and the status of California's economic recovery.

Solano EDC will also unveil its new strategic marketing plan at this Annual Meeting of it's membership.
