Planners to meet in Dixon

The Dixon Planning Commission will hold a public hearing tonight on a proposed commercial development dubbed "Market Square 1."
Developer Biz Plus LLC is proposing to build two buildings totaling 16,748 square feet for retail/professional offices on 1.4 acres at 1440 Market Lane in Dixon.
City planning staffers say the project requires no additional environmental review as it is covered by an environmental assessment done years ago on the nearby Pheasant Run development. They are recommending that the planning commission approve the development.
The commission meets at 7 p.m. in the City Council chamber, 600 East A. St. in Dixon.
